Hi! I'm Ms. Bean
My dream is to be a middle school teacher. My passion is to help students reach their full potential through academic success and personal growth so that they might become lifelong, independent learners who can lead in our global society.
I am working toward a second bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education at Mid America Nazarene University. I graduated from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma City in 2009 with a BA in Theology and Intercultural Studies.
I lived and worked for two years in South Korea, teaching English as a foreign language in a South Korean middle school. That experience helped me to realize my love for middle school students and my desire to become a teacher!
I work part time at College Church of the Nazarene as the 9th grade co-pastor, mentoring middle school students toward a deeper relationship with Christ. I also work as a writing tutor at MNU. In my free time, I love cooking, watching sci-fi, spending time with my family, and playing my with dog, Gretchen.
